How big is a roll of turf?
Rolawn, How to measure your lawn: turf is supplied in rolls of approximately one square metre, roughly 610 × 1,640 mm when harvested, which multiplies out to 1 m². The calculator starts at 1 m² a roll; if your grower states another size, type it.
How do I work out how many rolls I need?
Measure the lawn as rectangles, circles and triangles (length × width, π × radius², base × height ÷ 2), add them up, subtract the beds, paths and sheds inside, multiply by 1.05 and round up to the next whole roll. A 10 × 5 m lawn: 50 m² × 1.05 = 52.5 m² → 53 rolls.
